1956: Riders at the Point to Point; Joan Boycott
£495.00 Sold out
Expressive, almost abstract, oil on canvas depicting riders at a point to point. Reminiscent of Stanley Spencer, the black horse on the right appears to be blessed with wings. The chestnut horse and his Prussian blue-shirted jockey take the lead, the horse's white socks a furlong in front. In the background a crowd cheers them on and a red flag flutters in the breeze.
