1950, Paris School, Oil Painting, 'Immortelles'
A riot of colours dominate this oil on board by Paris artist, Andre Duffour (1926-2016). Tangerine and burnt orange 'Immortelles' (dried flowers) with olive green centres, cluster together in an angular white pottery vase. Gold and emerald books lean into each other and a baby elephant trinket is silhouetted against a dove grey background. Note the vertical slash of the sky blue curtains.
