1930's oil on canvas by Paris artist Georgette Louise Bailly.

Some superb craquelure on this sunny painting depicting a midnight black vase full with yellow daffodils. Richly painted throughout with that to-die-for duck egg background with hints of parma violet.

About the artist
Bailly was French 20th century artist living in Paris. Better known for her
historical portrait paintings.

A pupil of Jean-Paul Laurens, Albert Laurens and Henri Royer, Bailly exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français, of which she became a member, until 1939, and received an honourable mention in 1923.
