Large Portrait, 1938, 'Girl in a Blue Hat,' Bertil Järnstedt
Large Portrait, 1938, 'Girl in a Blue Hat,' by Swedish artist, Bertil Järnstedt.
This young lady is deep in thought, her arms crossed across her lap. A Quink ink, blue jacket reveals a coral red scarf at her neck. Her jaunty hat is set at a rakish angle. The background is a starry night swirl of dusty pinks and parma violets, thickly applied with great gusto.
