Fabulous still life painting by listed French artist Suzanne Cappiello (1880-1969). Two russet apples on a starched linen table cloth, a lemon and a paring knife. Richly executed with thick luscious strokes, flashes of electric kingfisher blue underpainting.
About the Artist
Painter of figures, portraits, nudes, flowers, animal and wife of graphic artist Leonetto Cappiello.
She exhibited in Paris at the Salon of the National Society of Fine Arts from 1930 to 1938 and the Salon des Tuileries in 1934.
