About the Artist
Blomquist studied at Isaac Grünewald's painting school 1944–1946.
He made his debut separately with an exhibition in Sundsvall in 1946.
He participated in group exhibitions in Sundsvall and in some group exhibitions in Stockholm.
Blomqvist's art consists of lyrical landscapes and illustrations for the weekly press.
Sundsvall's museum showed a memorial exhibition with Blomquist's art in 2011.
